Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Casino Gets New Management
New year, new management for Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Casino. Following New Year’s weekend, the Hard Rock Casino announced a completely new management team. It seems the hope here is to acquire an ever greater share of the market.
Atlantic City is the second biggest gambling hub in America, next only to Las Vegas. Its nine casinos are hugely successful. And among these establishments, one of the best is the Hard Rock Casino. In terms of overall revenue, the Hard Rock Casino stands second, next only to the Borgata. Last year, for example, the establishment made $533 million. However, it seems that in 2023 their aspirations are even greater.
Who are the New Management?
In an attempt to get an ever bigger slice of the pie, the Hard Rock Casino has decided to shift management. They have named a new president, as well as a new general manager. So, who are the two new big names in Atlantic City?
George Goldhoff is the new president of the city’s second most notable casino. He is expected to start his position within the first couple of weeks of 2023. Mike Sampson is the new general manager of the Hard Rock Casino, and he is also expected to take up the position within a week-or-so time.
Goldhoff serves as the president of the Hard Rock Casino situated in Cincinnati, Ohio. As of right now, the establishment he presides over is the leader of the market in the southwest region of Ohio. Before taking the job for Hard Rock, he was responsible for four properties for PURE Canadian Gaming.
Trust in the New Management
Confidence in George Goldhoff seems to be quite high, as even the chairman of Hard Rock International, Jim Allen, took the time to praise him in a recent statement, saying “I’m confident George will continue to build on the incredible success we have achieved at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City”. And certainly, there is a lot to praise. After all, according to Mr. Allen “In just three years of rebranding our property in Cincinnati, he was able to make that casino the leader in the market…”.
Mike Sampson, on the other hand, has been with Hard Rock Casino’s Atlantic City establishment since its opening day and even served as interim president since the casino’s president’s departure a couple of months back. He has also seen quite a bit of action and garnered experience working with a whole host of gambling establishments, most notable of which are the Tropicana, Seneca Gaming, and even the Trump Entertainment Resorts.
