Bally’s to Build Chicago Casino
When it comes to the casino industry in the States, everyone thinks of Atlantic City or Las Vegas. But as things are going Chicago could become another casino hub in the USA as Bally’s is looking to build a casino there.
The officials behind the casino brand name have proposed a $1.7 billion project in Chicago. So far, the project is just an idea and the company will need to get a license and design the casino complex from top to bottom. So, there’s no telling if the casino complex will become reality.
The Project Has Yet to Start
A big name like Bally’s has its marks all over the States, that’s why it’s looking to leave another one in Chicago. Some people are looking forward to a change in the city while others are skeptics. The skeptical ones are looking into the impact a huge complex might have on the city. It could be months or years before the project is completed and that could have a huge impact on traffic and other areas of urban life.
But then you have the optimists which look forward to the benefits that come with the project. This includes the workforce needed to make the project happen in the building stage as well as the workforce that will fill the future positions once the complex is completed.
As this will be a complex, casino fans will find lots of different kinds of casino games to enjoy. Moreover, the complex will have a lot of bars and restaurants anyone can visit. A parking garage will be built and a hotel might also be part of the mix.
So far, the city has tried 2 times to attract bids and it has gained some favor the second time by lowering the tax rate to 40%. The project is still just an idea and the officials behind it have yet to design it and get the proper license to operate it. The city council will need to approve it too and then the project can begin coming to life and reshaping Chicago as we know it.
