Charity Head in Problem Gambling Case

Charity Head in Problem Gambling Case

The thing about problem gambling is that it’s a serious issue that needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. Those that have this issue need to reach out for help instead of letting the issue fester.

Kyle Fisher happened to have a problem with playing casino games. He was addicted and he started taking money out of the charity organization he was working for to fuel his addiction. He was caught and indicted and is to appear in court soon.

The Executive Director Funneled Money to His Account to Continue Playing Casino Games

Gaming addiction is a dire issue that each country needs to deal with. The US has proper authorities and bodies to help struggling addicts with overcoming addiction. Online casinos have contact links that players can click to get in touch with the right organizations.

Land-based casinos also have the means necessary to help struggling gaming addicts. Unlike the others, Kyle Fisher chose to give to addiction until he was caught. He was an executive director of a charity organization known as The LISTEN Community Services in Lebanon. The organization provides housing assistance, food, heating, and electricity.

As an executive director, he had access to the funds and documents of the organization. He was fond of playing casino games at a Massachusetts casino. When he started running out of money to play, he started wiring money from the charity to this bank account. To cover his tracks, Kyle faked the organizations accounting records by creating fake invoices.

Kyle was caught and has been indicted for his actions. When addiction started to occur, he needed to get help. The stigma of casino gaming addiction is great, which is why overcoming it is difficult. Kyle let the addiction get the best of him, which is why he has been apprehended for his crimes and now he has a date when he needs to appear in court. If only he decided to go the other way and seek help, this situation would have been avoided.

Conclusion

Kyle Fisher, an executive director at a charity organization, used the organization’s money to fund his gaming addiction. He was apprehended for his actions and is now due in court for his crimes. Gaming addiction got the best of him. The stigma of addiction is real, but you can overcome it by reaching out. There are bodies and people that are willing to help.
