Poker is arguably one of the most popular casino games in the world. It’s offered at many land-based establishments across the globe, the US included. It comes with several variants and players can also enjoy this game online.
High Stakes Poker happens to be a show where celebrities and poker stars enjoy a game of poker. The show is currently in its tenth season and recently it featured some well-known poker stars. In other words, the Magician and Perkins decided to drop by and they had an interesting game of poker. They were joined by Tilly, Sipl, and Baldwin.
The Stars Came Back and Showed Their Skills
Esfandiari is a popular poker player that happened to be a magician before discovering his love for poker. That led to his nickname the Magician. Add to that the fact that he’s good with cards and a successful poker player. He and his buddy Perkins love to play hard when enjoying poker, as was seen in the latest episode of High Stakes Poker.
They didn’t waste any time as they both started big during the first hand. In particular, the Magician went for an $8,000 bet with a middle pair. Perkins decided to up the ante and raised that bet to $18,000. He decided to go for a raise because of his top pair.
Both decided to check when the high card came about, but Perkins was waiting for the river card which turned out to be a 4. He had a pair of eights and that hand got him a nice reward early on. But the game went on, and the competition between them didn’t stop.
Sippl had a hand of 9 and 8, both diamonds, and decide to raise the bet to $3,000. In the late position, the bet went to $10,000 and was upped by the Magician, who had an Ace of clubs, and a King of diamonds. Esfandiari decided to go all in and entered $159,000 into the table. Perkins followed.
Both players agreed they would run it twice. The first time the cards read 6 and 8 of diamonds, Jacks of spades, 2 of diamonds, and 8 of Spades. Perkins wasn’t going to lose in that case, but the second run came about.
This time the players split the $342,000 pot into pieces. Just after that split, the magician bluffed with a king’s high hand and convinced Sippl to fold. The pot was $50,000 at the time. All in all, a very interesting episode.
Conclusion
Although the latest episode featured some interesting players. Perkins and Esfandiari were in the spotlight because they didn’t shy away from bringing their best game forward. It was a comeback like no other.
