Kings Mountain Casino to Introduce Sports Betting

Besides casino games, there are plenty of sports fans looking to watch their favorite teams and bet on their matches. There are some casinos that offer sportsbooks to do so and some of these venues exist as mobile apps.

North Carolina is currently in the process of passing laws to increase the volume of SportsBetting and legalize mobile betting. Kings Mountain Casino is looking to introduce a mobile betting app after the law has passed. The governor of North Carolina needs to review the bill and decide on signing it.

North Carolina Is Passing Laws to Increase Betting

Casinos are places casino players visit to enjoy their favorite games. Regular visitors also drop in to enjoy the restaurants and bars. However, some casino venues cater to the needs of sports bettors as well. They offer sportsbooks that cover a variety of sports.

This is the case in the US, and currently, there’s some change in the legal landscape regarding sports betting. North Carolina officials have proposed a bill that will increase the volume of sports betting and introduce mobile betting. The bill has passed in the Senate and the House of Representatives. All it remains for it to pass is for Governor Cooper to sign it.

The bill was introduced after the American Gaming Association found out that online betting made up a staggering 24.7% of the industry of sports betting. This chunk of the industry represents $4 billion dollars. If the bill is signed then sports bettors will be allowed to place bets via their smartphones.

Kings Mountain Casino is one of the casino venues in North Carolina looking to make use of this bill if it turns into a law. The casino is looking to follow the other casinos and introduce a mobile betting app that would allow sports bettors to place bets via their phones.

The governor has yet to make up his mind regarding this development. Since the bill has passed both Senate and House, it’s highly likely that the governor will sign it and legalize mobile betting in North Carolina.

Conclusion

The state of North Carolina is looking to increase the volume of betting on sports and introduce mobile betting for sports bettors on the premises. Kings Mountain Casino is looking to utilize the bill if it turns into law by offering visitors a mobile betting app. The bill needs to be signed by the governor to be approved.
