New England Casino Named Best Casino Outside of Vegas

However, a New England Casino has managed to break through the shadow cast by Vegas.

Connecticut is home to two casinos that have recently been named “the best outside of Vegas”. In the city of Mashantucket, the Foxwood Resort Casino earned the title of “the best casino outside of Vegas” by the 2022 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards.
The establishment offers over 4000 slot machines, the range of which will appeal to low-stake players and high-spinners alike. From penny games to $100 minimums, slot machines have something for anyone.
But it doesn’t stop there. Not only does the Foxwood Resort Casino offer 4500 slot machines it also has 300 table games, one of the world’s largest bingo halls, with high-stakes Bingo games almost daily. They even offer a sportsbook covering horse racing, with a 50-foot projection screen, where bettors can follow the races as they place their wagers.
Naturally, the casino is also home to a spectacular poker room. The Foxwood Resort Poker Room has the distinction of being the largest poker room on the East Coast, and poker players from all over the country gather to try their luck at the resort.
Best Casino Hotel Outside of Vegas
Connecticut is also home to an establishment that earned the “best casino hotel outside of Vegas” award. The Mohegan Sun is situated in Uncasville. As the name suggests, the resort is owned and operated by the Mohegan Tribe.
The Mohegan Sun has finished at the number #1 spot on USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards Best Casino Hotels for 5 years in a row, so this year’s victory came as no surprise. However, it was welcome nonetheless.
The Mohegan Sun resort consists of two hotel towers, with over 1500 guestrooms and suites. On top of that, the casino boasts 364,000 ft2 of gambling space, meaning that both gamblers and tourists will enjoy their stay at the hotel.
