Rockford Hard Rock Casino Starts Construction
The casino industry doesn’t just expand online but it also does so in the real world or rather in the form of new land-based casinos. This has happened in pretty much every country and most recently in the US. The Strip has gotten a few new casinos over the decades, but it isn’t the only place where you’ll see casinos in the States.
Rockford, Illinois has received several proposals for building a casino, but the city’s officials have decided to go with Hard Rock. This was a process that took 3 years to complete and finally, the project is starting the construction process which is the first phase of building the complex.

Certain things take longer to complete which is why they’re worth everyone’s while when they’re done. The same thing can be said for the Rockford Hard Rock as it was lots of years in the making. It’s no small project by any means as this complex is $310 million heavy.
Those kinds of numbers show you just how serious the project is. But these numbers are just the tip of the iceberg. The casino in the complex is to take up 65,000 square feet and will house around 60 table games such as roulette, blackjack, and craps. In addition to this, the casino will also have 10 to 12 poker tables. Casino players will also be able to enjoy around 1,500 slot machines, but that’s not all because the same floor will also cater to sports fans with a sportsbook.
As mentioned before, this is a complex so the casino is just one part of it. The complex will also feature several food options such as a steakhouse, an Asian food restaurant as well as a food court that adds additional options. A hotel will also be part of the mix and it’s predicted to have 250 rooms. Finally, the complex will also have a 23,500 square feet live center.
Both the community and the casino will benefit from this arrangement. The building process is going to employ 1,200 construction workers and once the complex is built the hotel, casinos, and food options will need staffing. The heads of the project have guaranteed the city of Rockford $7 million dollars annually and cover the city impact fees.
