Big brands are nothing if they don’t keep their image afloat by making big waves and moves. They expand by buying up other brands in their home states or going abroad. The same can be said for casino brands, and Wynn Resorts is one of them.
The casino giant has been operating in the States for decades and it announced something interesting back in 2022. In other words, Wynn is going to be the first casino to be featured in the United Arab Emirates. The casino brand has been busy with this project and had made some progress.
The Project So Far
The United Arab Emirates isn’t the place any casino fan would go for when it comes to playing their favorite games. But that is soon going to change as the Emirates are looking to change their stance on casinos by accepting a Vegas brand in their midst.
An island has been chosen for this business venture as it’s going to house several casino brands. Wynn Resorts is going to be the first to grace the island of Al-Majran with a casino presence. The allure of Vegas will be brought to the Emirates via Wynn, which is the first among many brands.
Craig Billings, the man spearheading the company, has stated that plans and renderings of the projects will be issued publicly in the coming months which shows that the company has been busy since its big announcement in 2022. The Arabian Strip and Marjan Strip have already been registered by Wynn Resorts which means the brand is going to be accompanied by other casino brands.
But Wynn Resorts is going to have a slight advantage as it will be the first establishment to get the attention of global and local casino fans. The project is expected to come to life by 2026 and the opening ceremony should happen by the end of 2023.
Besides the various gaming options, the project will feature meeting spaces, dining venues, hotel rooms, event halls, and more. Another notable change is the change of stance on playing casino games which the region is emphasizing with the acceptance of a Wynn Resorts project.
